Samantha and Greg had a very intimate ceremony at the Hotel Del Coronado on the Vista Walk. The reception was held in the private room of the Del’s restaurant, 1500 Ocean. They only had me there for a couple of hours, but, as you an see, I can get a lot done in under two hours!
If you are having a smaller wedding, give me a call. I can usually accommodate weddings which are less than a month away, or on a weekday.

I cut my trip to Cabo short this year to come back to shoot Laurie and Kendall’s wedding. To be honest, I love my work so much that I was happy to come back to shoot a wedding. This was an awesome wedding with a awesome couple at the Hotel Del Coronado.
I had met Laurie briefly before and had never met Kendall. It’ always amazing how much you get to know a couple over the course of one day.
For this wedding, I also started recording sound during the ceremony and the toasts. This is yet another feature I am adding to the video/slideshows. I can also provide all the audio as part of the DVD so the couple has a recording of the ceremony and the toasts, something you can’t really capture with photos, obviously. Also, if the couple has not hired a videographer, this is one way to at least have a record fo those key moments of the day.

Here’s a few photos form their wedding:
[slidepress gallery='lauriekendall']Although Mindy and Cameron live in Chicago, I felt like I knew them so well already having only met them once when I shot their engagement photos. Everytime we met or spoke, I always got such a warm positive feeling from them and Mindy’s mother, Jane.
Early in the week, I also had the pleasure of doing portraits of Mindy’s niece and nephew at the Hotel Del. They are such cute kids, as you’ll see if you watch the slide show.
Mindy and Cameron and their family and friends were incredible. They always seemed so postivie and thankful for everything they are blessed with. It’s probably due to their amazingly strong faith in God which was clearly evident throughout the day.
Yes, another beautiful wedding at the Hotel del Coronado. I never get tired of shooting there! The flowers and decor were by Kathy Wright & Co. And Tracy from Mint Weddings coordinated the day and made sure everything ran smoothly.
Congratulations to Mindy and Cameron!
I was at the Hotel Del Coronado again for Annie and John’s wedding. Although I am at the Del shooting weddings regularly, for me, the weddings are so much more about the people than the location. Don’t get me wrong though. The Del is one of my favorite places to shoot in San Diego.
But when I show up to start my day, it always hits me how important this day is to the bride and groom. That’s what pushes me to do the very best I can regardless of the location, the schedule, or anything that’s going wrong. I love seeing the emotions, the interaction with friends and family, etc. Because ultimately that’s what it’s all about.
I could certainly tell how much in love Annie and John are. And you can also tell a lot about the couple when you see them interact with their friends and family. Little did I know how truly amazing they both are.
During the toasts John’s father talked about how John always spent his time off doing relief work instead of going to the best spring break spots. In addition, John is quite the poker player. He won a lot of money playing in the World Series of Poker (in the “Main Event” for those of you in the know). But he took a large percentage of his winnings and used it to build schools in Pakistan! And to top it off, he’s currently a school teacher in South Central Los Angeles. What an amazing guy. It sure is humbling and inspiring to hear about someone who truly does give back in a big way. It sure makes wedding photography seem so much less important… I need to start doing more!
Of course, their day was hardly unimportant. Huge thanks goes to Karen Tran Florals and Emily Smiley- Wedding Consultant for making my job so much easier.
Congratulations to Annie and John!
Maria and Johnny decided to have their big day at the Hotel Del Coronado. They must have called it their “big” day since they had the largest wedding party I have ever seen. I lost count at 16 groomsmen and 16 bridesmaids! What a great group of people.
You can’t get more perfect with the ceremony on the Windsor Lawn and the reception in the Crown Room. Not to mention the fact that Maria and Johnny had EVERYTHING at their wedding. Beautiful flowers by Karen Tran Florals, of course, but they also had an ice sculpture for serving the champagne, another ice sculpture for chilling and serving the apple “Frambotini’s” (in honor of Maria becoming the newest member of the Fambro family, get it?), a “tree” with chocolate covered strawberries, an amazing candy “bar”, a confetti canon, and much more. It was simply amazing!
Needless to say, everyone was blown away by all the details of the day thanks to Maria’s countless hours of planning and designing.
Thanks to Emily Smiley- Wedding Consultant for coordinating the magical day.
Congratulations to Maria and Johnny!
