OK, so it’s not the Ellen Show or American Idol, but a photojournalist from the local NBC affiliate came on Tuesday to shoot a story about Micah winning the writing contest. We had no idea what to expect or what Micah and Francesca would say, but they did a great job.
The photojournalist was really great. He even let Micah interview him afterward for her journalism class/school newsletter.
Here’s a few photos of the interview in our living room:
Here’s the final story which aired today. They had two versions, one at 4pm and one at 6pm:

Darin! You have such talented and intelligent daughters!
How much fun to watch these talented girls on local TV. We are not surprised with their talent as we have watched them grow up. Here is to the proud grandparents and parents!!
OMG!!! too cute, and gotta love the honesty from both Micah and Francesca! I’ve had my moments of being jealous of all the trips that Tommy got to take and I didn’t so I can totally relate
Micah – I couldn’t be prouder of you, that is SO cool that you are going to get a chance to visit Washington DC and have a barbeque with the Vice President! Even better, you have the best photographer going with you, so I have no doubt you will get lots of cool pictures, and definitely one with him!
Travel safe – love you guys!
you are all awesome!!! Remarkable !!!!!
Darin, thanks to your talent everyone who missed the clips or live outside the area are still able to see every part of it. Robin, you are the person behind all of these talented persons.

Darin, thanks to your talents you are able to transfer these clips onto your blog (how did you do it so perfectly?) so everyone who either missed it or are living outside the area can see every part of it.
