It’s really too bad I don’t have more time to do these military homecoming shoots for Operation Love. I love doing them, but with so much other work I should be doing instead, it’s hard to find the time to do them.
But when I got a call from Teri-Lynn for this shoot, I decided to take the morning “off” and photograph her husband’s homecoming.
Teri-Lynn has four kids and three grand kids. I know it’s hard to believe that she has three grand kids! It was her husband’s last deployment so this homecoming was particularly special for her and her family.

Great video … I love the footage you got of her when she dropped her sign as she was running to her husband.
Amazing Darin. just awesome with the two mediums together.
You captured the emotions that was going on as their father got back. This video is really awesome. I just wish that the army knew how to give their returning soldiers a welcome back ceremony.
