Larisa and Tommy have been planning their wedding for close to two years. I think they booked me a year and a half ago and they booked Catherine Smith, the wedding coordinator, long before that.
Of course all the planning certainly paid off. The wedding took place at the beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines. I just love the Arts and Crafts style architecture there which always makes a great backdrop for photos. Plus once you add the flowers and decor from Isari Flower Studio, it’s hard not to get beautiful photos!
The reception was just as great. Having Wayne Foster Entertainment providing the entertainment is guaranteed to wow the guests and keep everyone dancing. I am always amazed at the amount of equipment they bring for thier one-of-a-kind show!
Congratulations to Larisa and Tommy!
Although Mindy and Cameron live in Chicago, I felt like I knew them so well already having only met them once when I shot their engagement photos. Everytime we met or spoke, I always got such a warm positive feeling from them and Mindy’s mother, Jane.
Early in the week, I also had the pleasure of doing portraits of Mindy’s niece and nephew at the Hotel Del. They are such cute kids, as you’ll see if you watch the slide show.
Mindy and Cameron and their family and friends were incredible. They always seemed so postivie and thankful for everything they are blessed with. It’s probably due to their amazingly strong faith in God which was clearly evident throughout the day.
Yes, another beautiful wedding at the Hotel del Coronado. I never get tired of shooting there! The flowers and decor were by Kathy Wright & Co. And Tracy from Mint Weddings coordinated the day and made sure everything ran smoothly.
Congratulations to Mindy and Cameron!
I first met Jordan and Jared when I shot Jordan’s brother’s wedding. Now it was their turn to get married. So now that same sex marriages are legal in California, it was time to do it officially.
The wedding took place at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Jordan’s sister in law, Jessica (the bride from the wedding I shot before), was in charge of the wedding planning. Between Jordan, Jared, and Jessica, they did an amazing job creating a very cool look to the decor. The chuppah was made of steel beams welded together, like nothing I have ever seen before. It was very contemporary and cool. The decor and flowers were created by Bottanica.
I know I’ve said this before, but I am so happy to see that same sex marriages are now legal. When you see two people in love celebrating and sharing their relationship with their friends and family, it’s clear that marriage and weddings are about the love between two people regardless of sex.
It was clear that Jordan and Jared are certainly in love.
Although I was already booked for lauren and Ryan’s wedding date, my associate photographer, Pam, was available to shoot their wedding at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. As you will see, Pam did an amazing job!
I have shot weddings at the Palos Verdes golf course before, and it is a great venue for a wedding which overlooks the whole golf course.
Of course I wish I could have been there since Lauren is the daughter of my parent’s good friends. But I knew Pam would do an incredible job shooting their wedding. I have been working with Pam for many years so she certainly knows how I shoot and matches my style almost exactly but also brings a lot her her style and art into the mix.
Congratulations to Lauren and Ryan!
I was back in Coronado again this weekend. But not at the Del this time. Allison and Christian had their wedding ceremony at Chist Episcopal Church in Coronado and then on to the Coronado Marriott for an awesome reception.
The decor was amazing! Very different with everything being black and white with an accent of green everywhere. The tent at the Marriott was transformed into a very contemporary and cool venue. Thanks to Kathy Wright & Co. for the amazing flowers and decor.
Of course Allison and Christian were a beautiful couple. Allison even had three different hair styles throughout the day and evening.
Thanks to Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings for another flawless event.
Congratulations to Allison and Christian!
